Did you know October is Fire Prevention Month? In honor of fire safety, the Ocean City Fire Department and IAFF Local 4032 will hold their annual Open House on Thursday, October 10th. Events will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the station located at 550 Asbury Avenue. Everybody in the community is invited to this free event. The event will feature a live burn demonstration, a “smoke house” where kids can safely learn to navigate a dark and smoky structure, tours of trucks, a helicopter landing, and more. Don’t miss the 3rd Annual OCFD Chili Cook Off happening Saturday, September 28th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Ocean City Music Pier. Come and sample three entries and help decide who makes the best firehouse chili!

Just because the summer is over doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! Come out on Saturday, September 14th to the annual festival at the Municipal Airport, 26th and Bay Avenue. Enjoy a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from World War II Planes to classics and Warbirds. This event is full with history and is so much fun for the whole family!
