As temperatures drop, the craving for comfort food rises. Fall is the perfect time to indulge in chowder and chili, and taste new recipes. There will be many to savor at this year’s Ocean City Chili Chowder Festival.
On Sunday, October 1, the second annual Chili Chowder Festival returns to the Ocean City Music Pier. This is your chance to sample the finest chili and chowder from Ocean City Restaurant Association members. This year’s family-friendly event includes a “Chili Cook Off” among the three platoons of the Ocean City Fire Department with proceeds benefitting the O.C. Fire Fighters Foundation.
Wristbands for the event ($15 adults and $5 for kids) can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com, at all three Ocean City fire stations, and on weekends at Johnny B. Goode Ice Cream Parlor (14th Street and Asbury Avenue). The fun begins at noon and ends at 4 pm!
